You can get simple fare, Icecream and drinks at the farm. It is free entry, just pay for animal feeds and food. The workers are really friendly and I feel safe for my child to roam around there too.

My family used to own a pig farm decades ago. But I never got to see it. My relatives used to share with us that they love to play with their pets - pigs, playing in the mud and then having to walk some 10km just to have a good bath.

So since I have resigned from my previous hectic job, I decided that it's time I focus my energy on my kid, like, seriously spending time with her.

One of my recent favorite places is Animal Fa resort at 81 Seletar West Farmway. If you key on Google map, the unit is 19 instead. Whether 81 or 19, you will reach the main road where you can see a small signage guiding you to travel all the way into the farm (get the animal feed as shown in picture below at cashier).

You will see the iconic friendly horse when you reach the carpark. He really loves carrot a lot.

Next, you will be welcomed by the famous  Turkey. Forever seem to be hungry for more. Follows you faithfully and eagerly at your toes for more food. Leaves you alone only when your food bags are emptied.

You can also see chicken and goose at times. Oh ya, these 2 legged animals all prefer bird food to bread - my own realization. Birds can get a little excited at times especially the pigeons and goose. So first time visit for kids like mine, I would advise you to carry in your arm first.

Next, comes the very cute Guinea pigs and rabbits. They vie for carrots a lot.

And the fishes.

Didn't capture the peacock well as it seem to be a little angry after some kids threw branches at it, thankfully stop by keepers. Totally loving my bonding session with Chloe. We didn't take much photos as I spent my time getting used (overcoming fear) of so many birds at my feet.

Overall, I feel everything is great except having to go via private transportation, it's a rare and awesome place for the young and old. Old is gold, and I truly appreciate these folks for taking the effort to keep our mini kampong.

Let me know if you know of urban fun venues good for toddlers to learn more!

Yours sincerely,
